About D.C. Pathak

D.C. Pathak is a graduate of the National Defense College (NDC) and is a reputed strategic analyst. He has traveled widely all over the world and written extensively on issues of national integration, cross cultural conflicts and economic security.

D.C. Pathak, M. Sc. joined the Indian Police Service (IPS) in 1960. He shifted to the Intelligence Bureau (IB) in 1964 and rose to become its Chief in 1994. Later, during 1996-97 he was the Chairman of the Joint Intelligence Committee (JIC) – the body responsible for making national security estimates. He was also a member of the National Security Advisory Board (NSAB) from 2004-2006.
